“Subdued” is a good description of this year’s Death Hike (as much in opposition to the term “Death Hike” as that may sound). That was fine with both me and Ken, since we both have been swamped for over a year with various projects. A simple, relatively quiet hike in the woods was exactly what we needed.

We’ve had our eye on TT 4 T for a few weeks, ever since we started going back through the USGS datasheets for local benchmarks that we somehow neglected to search for in the past.

Although we haven’t yet found TT 9 T, the search for it has led to some interesting discoveries (and even more mysteries)!

Rich and I were browsing the topo maps yesterday, looking at some areas of local historical interest (specifically the area near Winton and Archbald labeled Riverside on the map), when we spotted BM 922.
