Bumblebee From Tennessee

Bumblebee” was my first ever letterbox-type cache. It was tricky to find due to the four yuppies who were sitting and drinking their wine (or whatever) on the rocks directly above, and were staring at me as I searched. I tried to be discreet, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Well, just as we were about to give up and come back later, I found the cache. Fortunately, it was just out of the line of sight of those who were hanging around. The stamp is, appropriately, a little bumblebee, and it was a nice start to my letterboxing notebook.

The tiny bumblebee letterbox cache! You see why it could be difficult to find in Central Park.

A view across The Pond in Central Park. It was a beautiful blue-sky late summer day.
