The berries fall to the bottom and a buttery biscuit crust forms on top.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix together berries and 1/4 cup sugar, heat to boiling and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 325°F (160° C).
  3. Pour melted butter in 8"x8" pan.
  4. Mix together milk, 1 cup sugar, flour and baking powder. Pour this mixture over the melted butter. Do not stir.
  5. Pour berries over batter and butter. Do not stir.
  6. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar over berries.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until light golden brown.
